At St. Aidan the Great School, or S.T.A.G.S., new things--and new people--are to be avoided. Unfortunately, Greer MacDonald, token scholarship student, is very much a new person. She has just transferred to S.T.A.G.S., and finds herself ignored at best and mocked at worst by the school"s most admired circle of friends, the Medievals.

‘S.T.A.G.S’ is the sort of book that’s impossible to put down, an edge of your seat roller coaster of a story filled with twists and turns. Greer makes for a wonderful narrator- flawed in the ways that make her feel real, and without the damsel tropes that get far too big a workout in traditional horror fare. S.T.A.G.S. is the type of book that you remember as being better than it actually was because the premise is so good that you want to forgive it for any tactical errors. It was a strange creature, a blend of cheesy horror cast in the vein of the old Point Horror novels I used to devour as a preteen, but also hauntingly Gothic with passages so /5.

I came across S.T.A.G.S in a recommendation ad from a page I follow on Facebook. I was taken in by the short synopsis, and I really love the character name Greer. I downloaded the audio book and I felt that the narrator had the perfect accent that reflected Greer's character.

As much as I would adore a sequel I think I would rather S.T.A.G.S a standalone. This is for fear of the sequel not living up to the first book (although I’m probably being stupid), either way I would be happy and % would pick up the sequel.

I posted a new book review last night on a GREAT thriller. S.T.A.G.S. by M.A. Bennett will grab you attention and keep you there for a twisted ending you weren’t expecting. It was definitely on e of those books I saw as a movie and a modern perspective on a timeless short story (you’ve probably.

Another Christina Henry that didn't astound me. S.T.A.G.S is a cracking debut psychological thriller aimed at the YA market but in all honesty with M.A. Bennett’s neat plotting, the scathing humour of her central character and a storyline filled with situations which are accessible to an adult audience, this novel has the ability to entertain well beyond its target bracket/5().
A YA thriller I haven’t really seen many of these within the YA book community, so when I received S.T.A.G.S from the publisher to review, I read the blurb and I was very intrigued to see how a YA thriller would be written.
There were some of the usual ‘rich people’ tropes that were in the book, but all in all, it was a very enjoyable read. S.T.A.G.S was a book I bought on a whim from Amazon during their ‘3 books for £10’ deal and I was completely blown away.
It was phenomenal. This YA thriller had me hooked from chapter one and the author did not disappoint at the end. In fact, when I got to the end, I closed the book, stared at it.
